With mutant experiments going on in this area, the telbarans had no choice but to send an army to investigate. They knew that their species was a successfull experiment, and this place clearly had freaks that seemed to fit the bill of their own society in that matter. However, they had no idea that this would result in a temporal paradox.

As the squad used their temporal device from the future, they examined the plants and buildings in the area. The houses were still intact, and apparently, the only thing that was amiss was the mutants found in this area. Many clues indicated that the deeper jungle areas had the information they seeked, but according to the temporal records, their discoveries were to be in vain. However, it was apparent that they had to be here to ensure their species survived.

"Ok, the temporal records show that we will barely gain a clue to our real origins here. However, these experiments and freaks MUST survive in order to ensure that our species will exist. Since we clearly exist, we will succeed the second part of the mission... but those accursed evoknights clearly will eliminate most traces of why we exist in the first place.

There is a CHANCE we can change history, and finally discover our origins here. But it may be harder than we thought. What we do know is that some scientists are involved. Where and what they are doing to create us... that remains a mystery. As a side event, we need to break that set population nightmare where we always have 1700 forces. If at all possible, that handicap must be altered, but its likely to fail."

They began by setting up a perimeter, and readying themselves for the Evoknight encounter. By night, they would be more than ready to explore and navigate the areas here. But little did they know how hard it would be to even survive, let alone discover the truth behind their origins. But it was vital that they at least keep their race existant, as it was known.

Fadora yelped as he fell down a tree from where he had 'rested.' He was a Alimbic fa Jurios, but a rogue one at that. He had run away from his base in a search for a better life that will suit his more emotional needs, but just physical ones. He looked around. There was a lot of things in the area. "What now?" he muttered before getting up and dusting off his armor of any particle that was on it. He sensed danger, not nothing big in particular. But just in case, he pulled out his plasma burner for defense but didn't light it. Perhaps it was his comrades, coming back to retrieve him. But unlikely. His brethren looked down on him because he had some emotions that they did not. "Well, yeah, fuck them..." he muttered quietly, feeling anger rise up again from his computer core. Then he heard shouts and commands. "Okay, someone is definitely here," he muttered as he stalked towards the source of the voice.

The telbarans had just set up the perimeter when Fadora approached them for the first time. It was likely that anyone they encoutered here would be either suspicious of their activities or be an enemy. They recalled how there were many dangerous beasts that were being experimented on in this area, let alone a desperate bandit that had a major mission involved. But that mission was a complete mystery to the telbarans.

It would have been impossible to sneak up on them, especially as they were from the future. As soon as the stranger got close, they spotted him, and said the classic "Who goest there?" Statement. But it was apparent that they were here on purpose.

"Umm.... I'm no one ... in particular," Fadora said as he fixed his circuits on his legs a bit. He looked at them and his scanner quickly scanned their technology, a standard procedure that a Alimbic carries out. He raised a digital eyebrow. "You're tech level is similar to mine," he said, amazed that someone in this universe, not Xti or Evoknight which was obvious by their looks, was on their level. "What are you doing here?" he asked them.

(EPIC POST FAIL!)

(I am only an intermediate, sorta. More like casual... this is about my norm.)

The officials were suspicious of him. Telbarans, while open, were sometimes very cautious. However, there was no fuss about explaining this mission whatsoever. Examining the person, he seemed harmless. But it was impressive that their and his tech level was the same. But that was an intentional venture for his forces. They only wanted to be good, and not too advanced. "Thanks, but this is cheap from where we come from. In some of our elites, we can even utilize some rather advanced temporal technologies. Fact is, we are from the future. We are here to investigate our origins. However, every attempt we have done... has resulted in our deaths."

"We are in a position to offer you a deal. If you can help us to find a secret biotech lab, we will grant you a 2-way trip to any time of your choice, but same location." They commented, examining the jungle region carefully. But just then, one of the freak monsters approached them.

Fadora turned to the freak monster, aimed his plasma cutter and maxed the flames out. The flames lunged out like a rapier and struck the monster's skull, destryoing the brain of it. Then he quickly pulled it back. "Geez, so annoying, these guys," he said. Then he turned back to them.

Fadora seemed a big confused. "Why would I go into the future when they-the people in the future- would take me down and study a 'machine from the past' or go back to the past where my brethrens were destroying half the universe for the sake of research?" he asked. "But I'll help you guys anyway. I got nothing better to do," he said as he put away his plasma cutter and pulled out a scanner from his robotic arms. "Besides, I'm only a construction worker from where I came from," he said with a 'smile.'

Then he began scanning the world around him.

"Records show that thre were some dangerous abnomalies in the future. By bringing you to a certain period of time, we can ensure the future of this planet. But our records dont show what time period you are to be delivered to, so we offer a choice." The forces commented, then established their more advanced defensive technolgoies. Soon, a hyperspace shield generator was implemented, and they were ready to begin investigations.

"If you must know, we are the Telbarans. We are just short of legendry when it comes to maintenanence and repair, and in the present timeline, we have already developed hysperspace technologies. Put simply, our spaceships can already bend the spacetime continuum, but only to reach areas instantly."

Eliminating the freak monster, they began hunting the area. It would not take too long to find the base, but the problem was trying to secure the things in the compound.

Fadora nodded. Aside from the fact that this new race was almost strong as his, their technology did not impress him. Hyperspace travel was something the Xti, Alimbic, and Vendi-Ulis have known for ages. But what did impress -and trouble-him was the fact that this race was receiving help from their future race. This will not only create a paradox but also cause different realities to exist. And not only that they were going to cause different results to occur as well, if they are not part of that different result themselves already. This wasn't something that was bad but perhaps he could call his friend for a little help. Perhaps now, later, or maybe even never.

He scanned the environement as his other arm cut down more of the native and/or imported monsters. And as he did all this, he ran over his memory, trying to find something similar to a lab.

(I don't think hyperspace travel allows you to travel to places instantly. That would be more of a jump tech.)

(part of hyperspace rifts are bending the fabric of existance itself. Thats why it could be both jump and hyperspace. Eventually, those rifts, thanks to their engineering, would result in the dawn of official timetravel, especially due to the space/time flux potentials in that matter)

Taking out their sensors, they began examining the present area agressively. WHile doing so, they also began explaining more about the situaiton. "If you must know, we are aware of the paradoxes of time travel. But we are just a missing link. We mean nothing for altering the time track, although we were the official species to develop timetravel. If there would be any such paradox, it would fall more in line with our social structure. In particular, our agencies that would strive at nothing to kill eachother."

It would take a very long time to even remotely find clues about where the biotech lab would be found. However, there was signs of an extremely large and powerful monster to the north of their location, only 3 clicks away. It seemed like a very promising opportunity for investigation. So, they developed a party, and began heading to that first potential obstacle.

(Huh. Understood.)

Fadora got the monster's signature as well. He didn't think it was safe, especially when the image that his sensor produced wasn't really beautiful. Disgust was the registered emotion roaming with his hardcore. "If the time travel s that much of a trouble, why don't you set everything into place by DESTROYING the one who created the time travel in the first place?" he asked them. "But then again, you would be killing yourself..." he muttered. "What kind of paradoxes are your kind experiencing from?" he asked them as they moved towards the monster. He 'gulped.'

Clunk

Fadora stopped in his tracks and looked at his feet. He lifted his foot and stomped it again. There was another clunk. He lowered his scanner. It sensed nothing. He lifted his foot and pulled it away. It had stepped on a root of a tree. "That's one hell of a weird sound."

As the ventured towards the monster, one said: "Records show that it was vital to save the society from the evoknights in the future. We dont have the details, but this is one of the paradoxes. Our origins seemed to be caused by this location, but the details illude even us. What we know is that one of our own kind brought us to the past to form the society, but how and why... that illudes us. Thus, by doing this missioin, we will establish ourselves in a position to destroy the evoknights. But in the future, even then, it will take all the races to beat them.

Dont bother asking for more. We dont know anything else. But it seems to have been planned by the timetravelers in the future for a decisive reason. As for denying it from our enemies... we can only suspect that a few of our special groups are behind that. But even with these temporal jumps, we still haven't discovered that."

"Ah, that is indeed a paradox," Fadora said as he dismissed the metallic root and headed towards the monster with them. The environment so far had no irregularities or anomolies. Which meant that there was nothing in the area... so far. "But of all the places, why here in Fandor? It's not really a place where one would want to establish a civilization, aside from the fact that your kind originates from here, according to you. There are a lot of bio and medical resources, that's a advantage, but this planet doesn't have anything besides that and civilians are exposed to dangers on the surface. Especially when those bloodthirsty Morween come out and take a big chunk out of you..." he shuddered.

"And did your race try extreme measures to destroy the Evoknights? Like destroying a sun so that a nova destroys the Evoknight fleets or whatnot..." he asked.

"They never tell us anything for what its worth. Only missions that are vital for the survival of all. All we know is that this place is the key to our origins, and even that was a little difficult to obtain to say the least. But at least we seem to be getting close to the potential time when that loop emerges. From the records, a group of our own species brought us back in time to establish a civilization back then. Thats why its so important to discover the truth behind that event. Thats why we need to do this, and why we will succeed when the time is right."

With that, the telbarans ventured foreward, then noticed the large monster. It was much larger than the usual kinds of freaks out there, and it clearly looked extremely powerful and dangerous. This would be an extremely dangerous and difficult battle, especially if the beast had some kind of ranged attack, and that was highly likely.

Fadora thought about the whole information as he looked at the monster. It was a extra large Morween. There was definitely a bio experiment going on somewhere around here because Morween are usually the size of a horse, not a T. Rex. "SHIT!" he shouted as he pulled out his plasma cutter. Morweens were generally very hostile and aggressive semi-sentient, dragon-looking mammal. They were smart and hard to kill because of their size. But this one was bigger than most of them were. At least twice the size, which also implied certain cruel death because the creature's mouth was at big enough to swallow a man alive. He aimed his plasma cutter forward. But there was something off with this Morween. It had spiky back that seemed to move up and down with the creature's breathing. "This just can't be good..." he groaned as the Morween laid its eyes on the Telbarans and the lone Alimbic.

The Morween let out a battlecry before charging.

"We have little data about most creatures. THis one... however is clearly a threat." They said, preparing their plasma rifles quickly for the battle. Even the size of this creature was a threat, and they had to work extremely quickly to bring down such a deadly creature. But at least they were more than ready to make short work of even a creature of this size. Bringing in the heavy artillery, the squad employed missle emplacements to handle such a large foe. It was more than likely to be a serious match, but a good one for training purposes. Reacting quickly, they quickly established a perimeter, and began their assault against the large morween.

The Morween saw that they were trying to encircle it and attack it from all sides. So it decided to jump. And jump it did towards the side of one of their artillery. He landed on a tree root, jumped at the artillery and ripped it to shreds with its steel claws and fangs. Its thin tail acted like whips, every time they swayed from side to side, it crashed against the soldiers. "Burn the nose! It has high sensitivity to it!" Fadora shouted as he used his plasam cutter like a gun, firing shots of plasma. This was possible thanks to a small modification.

The telbarans were no military experts, but the advice made sense. Quickly refitting their guns for better fire attacks, they aimed for the weakspot on the large beast. The attacks, while only average, were cleary well executed, especially for a trained soldier. However, it was apparent that the telbarans were only average in military prowess overall. But the attacks were surprisingly good for temporal agents, clearly indicating that they were well trained for their time period.

The beast took heavy damage from wave 1, but they knew better than to encircle the foe now. Adjusting their strategies, they worked on only deterring the beast, hopefully convincing it to flee from the territory quickly and efficiently, but feared and anticipated that this beast would be out to potentially eat these forces ruthlessly.

The Morween took the hit, mostly because it couldn't see them coming. "Nice shot!" Fadora shouted enthusiastically. The morween let out a roar and then turned its glare at them. It remained silent as it slowly moved its paws around. "W-Why aruu yuuu doo iiinggg hheerre?" it asked in series of hisses. Fadora almost choked. Well, he just confirmed that these beasties were sentient. "Ssssmmaalla ffooooddd don't beloong heres," it add to its hisses. It moved itself slowly to its right. "Ssstay aways frommm here!" it growled loudly, faking a attack. "Stays away from heres!"

Fadora turned to the nearest telbarans. "I just didn't expect that."

The Telbarans responded in turn: "Dream on, we are here purposefully. We know about your experiments, and what you are clearly doing here. But we are not here to necesarilly eliminate you, but capitulize on one successfull thing you are doing in the first place. Know that you are facing what your scientsts call Telbarans! Yes.. that experiment. We know this because WE are the future result! So the question is if you will do this the easy or hard way." They said, menacingly. Either way, they were clearly well trained. The Morween could see they were clearly veterans in the military divison of the telbs. "But know this. We cannot and must not take no for an answer. Its either a battle or a deal. So what will it be? Take us on, or bring us to your leader?"

The large beast was quite impressive. If it was as sentient as it was not, it was clear that the scientists were extremely close to developing their species. This was clear proof of that claim, but there was one thing about that. Talking to the worker, they said: "We cannot be certain this species is officially sentient. There are no records in the future indicating this. It probably has to do with how this timetrack isn't quite established yet. So with that, now we are 98% certain this is the proper time to be here."

The Morween looked ... dumbfounded. "What telabaransss?" it hissed. It looked realy confused, genuine and legit. It tilted its head to the right as it moved slwoly to the left towards the empty space. "I livveeesss heress. Foooddss comess. They shoottss me and taakeesss me somewheerrress. I ccomeess baccks out and I iss bbbigggs," it growled. "I haavvees nnoo buissness witthh youu, ootthers than thaatts yyoou arrru iin mmyy hunnttingsss groundds!" it roared.

Fadora decided to speak up. "Then can you take us to where you woke up then? We might be able to find we are looking for and leave you alone," he said outloud.

The Morween narrowed its eyes and looked at him and the Telbarans. It didn't trust them. Who would trust someone who shot you and injured you? But he decided that it was better for it to just get the 'food' out of his territory. "FFiinness. BBbuuutt I knnoowws nnootthiings abbout ttheesssee Telabaranasss," it growled before gesturing with its head to follow him. He turned around and began to walk towards the denser part of the jungle before them.

The Telbarans followed the mordoren cautiously, but decided to appologise for being hostile. "Sorry about firing at you then. To make up for it, we offer you a replicator in gratitude of your deeds. Besides, records show that there was one in the future that played an imporant role for both your and our race, especially to form a greater relationship with eachother." One officer gave the mordoren a nanotech medical module. It was only good for one use, but it would prove very useful. "This is a medical device that would presently exist in our species. It will heal most things, but not life threatning wounds yet." The medical officer said, then followed the mordoren. Hopefully, they could repair the damage done and build a good relationship with this species.

The Morween grunted as if to laugh at the technology. "Wees arruu beeasstss. Wee lliivveess wwithouut tteechhnollooggy," it growled as he pushed aside a tree with its claws, knocking a 100 foot tall ancient tree down. Then it continued to move forward.

Fadora looked at the Telbarans. "Are you sure that it was the Morweens that become great part of your race? Besides, I think this one might be on the hunter and gather technology at the moment," he whispered.

"Not so certain. We have our doubts. Beasts may have their good points, but we would need a real sentient being to really help ourselves to develop ourselves. Preferrably a military race other than the evoknights. Up to this point, however, we have only 3 really close allies, one of such being your race in the future." The commander said, following the beast to his home. It was likely that this area would be quite remote and powerful, especially for the present timetrack.

Fadora laughed when he heard that his race was going to be part of an ally. Surely that alliance must have the Vendi-Ulis, these Telbarans, and the Xti, whom he does not hate but his kind has 'registered' as enemies. He wondered how the two rivals can become allies even if it is against a primitive race called the Evoknights. Well, primitive to the Xti, the fa Jurios and the Vendi-Ulis at the current tech level. The Morween must have heard the entire conversation because he didn't look too .... fond of them.

The Morween stopped when they came to a clearing next to a barren and steep mountainside. "Thiss iss wheres I woookkes up... Now, leaves me be," the Morween growled as it went away after telling them the location. Then he headed back into the forest and disappeared, which was quite a feat, considering that the trees were all thick as a building and shrubs cmae only to the knee level.

Fadora turned to the Telbarans. "Let's search the place then, shall we?" he said as he pulled out his scanner.

The forces nodded, and also took out the scanners. "If you must know, the reason for the alliance is because of a prophecy. Only the combinded efforts of all the races can eventually slay the evoknights. Its been predicted by the temporal councel in the future. But we are having a living hell trying to find the other races even then. But that must change with actions in the present time period. We wouldn't normally form alliances with 2 bitter enemies, but the situation calls for it in that case. Besides, just because they are sworn enemies, that doesnt mean we cannot make alliances with races that benefit eachother." The forces commented. Then they ventured into the remote base, hoping that the forces in this place would be friendly, but the chances on that were extremely slim.
