Who said hell wasn't real...? Empty
PostSubject: Who said hell wasn't real...?   Who said hell wasn't real...? EmptyFri Oct 22, 2010 6:23 pm

OOC: Game neglected to tell me Sanjit was dead... ignore this post, cause it's only here to raise my postcount.

Kenji had. And now he regretted it.

Since his kidnapping and arrival at some volcanic planet he could only assume as Weavon, he had been cuffed, given a strange bracelet that electrocuted him whenever a guard gave the command, was assigned "A-7733" as his name which was later tattooed on his arm, put in a small cell with two other aliens, one being an alien he didn't recognize and the other being a rather frail creature that looked vaguely like a Chromakan, then forced into bright orange prisoner clothes, and given an ancient pickax and told he was going to work in a mine for the rest of his 'pathetic and meaningless life'. There was one good thing, though. The food given out was usually bread, just like how it was made on Earth, probably because of how easy and cheaply it's made.

The individual prison cells were small, but there were so many cells Kenji couldn't see the end from where he was kept. The cells were all in a very large cave, lining the walls. There were three stories of the concrete-like cells in rows of 50, each with at least two prisoners. Some even held four. The lighting in the cave was suckish. At night the only light came from the cells' laser bars, a neon red glow. And the worst part was that an armed guard was stationed every seven cells.

The past week had been torturous hell for Kenji. On his second day on Weavon, the Chromakan had died. Kenji took advantage of this and tried to search his area of the prison cell for vaulable items the Chromakan could have owned...but it turned out he had nothing. Kenji hadn't yet been released to work in the mines. He was just kept in his cell all day, every day, alone for most of the day...Until day three. He and the other alien, who's name was Jagatia but could only be addressed as T-0461, were taken from their cell in the middle of the night and then taken out of the whole cave. Kenji assumed he was going to be executed, but they were taken instead to a much smaller cave, looking a lot like a dome cut in half. Inside were just five cells. Kenji and Jagatai were shoved into a cell with a tiny tiger-like Ilet, but with pointed ears. He liked it here a lot better. There were only two gurads, and they were completely outside the cave. Another plus was that the cell bars were metal, and wouldn't incapcitate whoever touched them. The floor was sand instead of concrete. Kenji assumed this small prison block was made in a hurry.

He was given a short two hours to sleep before everyone was commanded to wake up and gather their work equipment. Kenji was told he would finally be put to work, with Jagatia and Tinytiger instructed to teach him what to do and what not to do. There wasn't much to learn. Work for 27 hours every day. Wake up at 5:00 and return to the cells at 32:00. No breaks. No slacking. No screwing up. And a very emphasized 'no stealing'. Most of the prisoners had the same job as Kenji did, mining a gigantic cave with ancient pickaxes for Rithsinium cystals. But several had other jobs, such as collecting the coblat-colored rocks on hovercarts and pushing the carts to chutes, where the crystals were dropped into who knows where. Jagatai was a miner, with Sanjit loading the cart full of crystals the two others mined. Other prisoners got much less backbreaking jobs, such as simply being servants to some of the guard officers. Those prisoners also got much better living qualities, and Kenji hated them for it. He knew it probably wasn't their decision about getting the job, but hate still swelled up whenever he saw one of the servants. The amount of food the other prisoners got at 5:00 each morning and 32:00 each night combined couldn't be counted as a meal. The servants were fed like actual living beings.

The first day Kenji was sent to work was his worst. The temperatures skyrocketed in the mines. Naturally, his personality made him try and sneak a few small Rithsinium shards into his pockets. But what Jagatai had neglected to tell him was that guards occaisonally checked the prisoners for stolen crystals with sensors. They could pick up stolen shards from several meters away. Soon after Kenji had slipped four shards into his pockets, a guard approached him from behind. The guard lashed him in the back with an Electron Flux Whip. It felt like a bullet train made of electricity had collided with his back...and then he was whipped another 24 times. The electricity caused total paralysis and was incredibly painful. His back was was covered in bloody gashes. Being unable to work, the guard dragged him to a makeshift medical bay. Kenji had sat in a medical capsule-like object there until the paralysis wore off and his wounds were minorly healed. Unfortunately for Kenji, this only took about 10 minutes, so he was quickly sent back to work. Later that night, Kenji, Sanjit, and Jagatai didn't receive any food because of Kenji's attempt at stealing.

Serveral days passed. Many were the exact same as the day before. Kenji was whipped even more, once for dropping a crystal, once for walking too slow, and once for saying Jagatai's real name instead of number. Kenji became tired, pissed, and ready for vengeance. Someone, whether they did anything wrong or not, was going to pay. He had gone a little insane, and Jagatai's constant happy mindless chatter combined with Sanjit's constant wimpering wasn't helping.

Kenji attempted to try and keep track of time. But it was nearly impossible. He was pretty sure he had been in this hellhole for six days. He was extremely tired and covered in cuts and bruises. Now, he was lying on a thin sheet of metal guards called 'his bed'. It was still very dark in the cave, but Kenji knew the guards would come soon, give out small pieces of bread, and send the prisoners to work. Kenji only had one thought. One thought that Kenji decided he would later make a plan about. They. Will. Die.
