Oh, Look! (Open)

Raimaru sat and stared into space. Literally. His eyes were locked on the multi-colored sunset, silvery reflections on the window he was looking out of. Stars were just starting to show. If he had his soul he'd be ecstatic about seeing the beautiful scene, but his new, clear, unbefuddled mind was not impressed. After all, the smog covered up half of the sky. Covering up the wonky-little-moon-type-thing that he hadn't seen before on Earth. He was sitting on the... Third or second floor of the apartments. Staring out a window. He could barely see his reflection in the glass. Just two silvery disks.

Adailia trotted down the stairs, damp frown on her face. Oi. Why couldn't the day ever get better instead of worse, hm? She was about to rip someone's head off. She cracked her knuckles absently, noticing how long it had been since she'd been pummeling everyone in the apartments into a pulp. She hadn't seen enough of anybody all too recently, and was also recovering from being stuck in that stupid spaceship all that time with the lot of them.

She sighed, rubbing her temples. It was like getting a bad taste in your mouth-couldn't get rid of it. Then something piqued her interest. There was no aura here. Was there no one home? She peeked around the corner. No, there was a blond-haired little girl sitting right there, staring out the window. She frowned. Why didn't the runt have an aura? It was like he was blanketed in a thick fog or something, or was wearing a down blanket.

She crept towards the figure, eyes widening. Her head stopped hurting. Huh. The auras must have been pinching her brians togetehr worse than when her little sister/cousin/person got on her nerves on Earth. "Hey, you," she started. "Tell me you're name. And please tell me I can sit here with you." Huh. Courteous much?

Rai looked up as someone spoke to him. Responding instantly to the orders, he said, in his strange, muffled, dead voice, "I am Raimaru Ame." He turned to stare out the window again. "You may sit here."

Game was in a bad mood. Not one of his usual bad moods either. This was a seriously annoyed to the point of death, mood. If one more thing went bad for him, he'd snap and kill everything in sight. First, he crashed the spaceship, second, the whole fourth floor of the apartments is just gone, third, his room was in shambles, and his attempt at fixing Robovant had been ruined horribly. Thanks to Cheryl. He'd deal with her soon enough, but right now, he needed a nap, and it... It just didn't feel right in the apartments, one of the reasons he was carrying around a backpack and walking towards the exit of the apartments. Too much stress here, he hadn't gotten time to sleep in days, and then he'd been bombarded with all this news, most of it negative, in fact all of it was. There was nothing good happening in Xychus City this year. He prayed to God that once Winter left, Spring would bring with it some type of joy.

He barely even regarded Adailia and Raimaru when he passed them. Mostly because he was ignoring Adailia and Raimaru just plain freaked him out. The way he stared at nothing, and no insults or jokes fazed him. It was like talking to a brick wall. He stuck his hands in his pockets and with his head held high marched on. Both of them would probably only bring more headaches. He wondered exactly, what would happen once he stepped through those doors, last time he had checked there were no guards so he doubted he'd be sent back in. Maybe he could just up and leave Sigma for good? That was a pleasant thought, being all alone, on a distant planet where he could just sleep. It already sounded pretty good. An accidental smile broke across his features, and he was startled by it, he was getting too used to frowning now. It was killing his youth.

Fennris unzipped his fur and leather jacket and hung it on the coat rack near the door but after second thought he removed it. The thought of one of his most prized possessions (second only to his lighter) being taken or even touched by some invalid was simply unthinkable. This wasn't like his home on earth where he could just leave anything anywhere, but then again he had been wary of his belongings even back then. It seemed like every time he turned around there was someone trying to steal from him; whether it be by begging or force. In fact this very night he had been brutally assaulted by two large and ugly Chromakan men. Unluckily for them they hadn't accounted on Fenn having his 'superpower'. With gravity under his control self defense was a breeze, just a small squeeze would send most lifeforms running, however tonight he had to be a little more forceful. He felt a little bad, breaking that Chromakan's nose really hadn't made him look any better. "Hmph," Fenn grunted as he dusted the black snow off his shoulders.

Raimaru didn't even pause when Adailia turned, eyes sharpening as she heard footsteps approaching them. Then she relaxed. Just Game. "Hey," she called, her voice a friendly greeting. Ah... After many long months of vivid colors pressurizing her brain, being around this aura-dampening kid was... Relaxing. She didn't feel so tense. Her smile actually reached her eyes.

Game glanced at the boy, well, man that towered over him. He didn't exactly hate the boy, nor did he like him. The nicotine atmosphere around him made hi unapproachable, with it's gaseous smell. Second, he was too tall, it hurt his neck to even look at him. And third, he was one of those kids that hung out under broken street lights attracting all kinds of girls. He was kind of jealous, and so he only regarded the boy with a slight nod that meant nothing, not fully a greeting, or even true recognition just 'You're there, bye.'. He easily breezed past the boy, with a frown that stained his face. He didn't even stop when he heard Adailia's voice, and barely even cared for her ridiculous smile. Now, she wanted to be friendly, too late for that. He thought, he was avoiding her, to spare her feelings, not his. He had held back a treasure trove of insults and one more of her snide remarks, or one of those goofy smiles and he would erupt.

Fenn returned the boy's nod with equal frostiness. It appeared to Fenn that the boy didn't really like him. Oh well. For some reason boys like the one he had just encountered never seemed to care for him much. Perhaps the boy was just having a bad night, after all he had just ignored the two other people in the room as well. Shaking the black snow out of his hair Fenn went to sit down by the window in the corner opposite the others. He didn't feel like doing anything, but he didn't feel like sleeping either. He probably couldn't have slept anyway. Ever since he had gotten to Sigma he had become an insomniac. The fact disturbed him.

Adailia didn't really acknowledge it when Game left. She sighed, closing her eyes and lapping up the utter darkness with a relieved expression. She looked over at Raimaru, wondering what this silver-eyed boy had wrong with him. "Why don't you have an aura?" ... Silence. She must have struck a nerve-hard to tell without the aura, she noted irritably. She decided to test it out, and walked away from Raimaru. The colors returned, but were fainted. She could feel Game's depressed-self outside, but just barely. She frowned. What was making him upset, she wondered.

OOC: *looks at Adailia's failing...* You have driven us off the edge of the Earth.

He was surprised that Adailia wasn't more interested in the fact, that he looked ready to pack up and leave the nest, she seemed to think it was just an everyday thing. Weird. But he didn't dwell on it long as he caught the unpleasant cool of Xychus Cities toxic air. He sighed, maybe life somewhere else would yield him more promising opportunities.

Fenn looked at the boy, one eyebrow raised. "What are you doing?" He had just noticed the back pack. This kid was going out to stay. Didn't he know that prolonged exposure to the Sigma air at this time of year was harmful? An evening walk was fine, but going out hitchhiking or whatever he was doing was just stupid. Maybe he was one of those 'emo' kids or whatever who got a thrill out of hurting themselves. He had the all the right traits, that stubborn smile, ignoring a person that seemingly cared for him. Freak. Fenn didn't consider the possibility that Game was just going out out get away from everything, what was there to get away from? There was no school here, no work, no grades to keep up...

Xeda was happy today. They'd been back on Sigma for a while now and she was glad to be off it and away robotic Brianna, who she hated more than Lennina. She wanted to go out and do something, do something leisurely. She didn't want to sit inside or read a book. Winter was the time to do stuff, no matter how Gothic the snow was. Even Cezar was out doing something to entertain himself.

She went up the stairs, choosing not to take the elevator, up to the third floor. She had moved her room up here, since hers was... under construction. All she needed to do was get some things and she could go do something. It was nice to just figure it out as you went. Opening the door in the stair case, she was greeted with the apartment hallway. Walking in and down to her room, the ideas of the rest of the day went off in her mind. How could she make this better?

As she walked she spotted Game, who was up here for whatever reason--maybe he had a new room too?-- and looking depressed. What was up with him? This was a pretty good day? But the boy seemed to be depressed often, at least since he started making that ship, because he said he wanted to, which she hardly believed. No one who wants to would be that unhappy.

"You okay?" She asked him, stopping in the hallway. She could, in the least, as him, it wasn't a life threatening thing to do.

Adailia sighed, hearing voices talking either to Game or about Game. What was with him? He seemed to attract tons of attention, no matter where he went... Her eyebrows arched, and she scooted closer to Raimaru, who either didn't notice or didn't care. "Ugh." she mumbled, yawning as the numbness settled over her powers again.

OOC: I don't care that this fails and that Ada just creates awkwardness. ;O

Game stopped in mid-step, one foot out the door when he felt eyes on the back of his head. Ever since his adventure on the spaceship he had felt a bit... A bit paranoid, especially with the thought of all the people he had inadvertently killed in his mind. He matched Fenn's glance with a screwed up facial expression, his head cocked to the side, with a raise of an eyebrow. What did he want? He had that, 'look at this loser' look on his face. At least he didn't smoke in shady corners waiting for his lungs to turn black. And then he asked a question, it sounded rhetorical, like a parent who found their child scribbling on the walls with permanent marker, 'what are you doing'. But he obviously wanted an answer, an answer he didn't want to give. "Well, hello there, how are you?" he questioned, with a smile, taunting the boys lack of manners.

"What I'm doing? I'm... Looking into some possibilities." he said cryptically, not really giving a true answer. He heard a groan that was reminiscent of a ghosts wail. He turned with slanted eyes to Adailia, not saying a word. Almost immediately he turned away, just her and that weird kid sitting next to her. He was actually kind of happy that Adailia had found a new boy to leech life out of. He had grown tired of her, reducing him to a chaotic emotional shell. It was girls like her that made teens so... Crazy. Now that he thought about it, really thought about it. He could see his lust for Adailia meant nothing to her, mentally he growled at how stupid he had been, why couldn't he be aloof like other people? Why was he cursed to be the awkward, bumbling fool?

And then another voice, one that he didn't truly want to hear, but he had no choice in the matter. He was shocked to hear it, since he had thought he'd left her behind on the Len trip. Xeda. Her voice wasn't a compassionate one, it was just questioning. Why should she care? She wasn't his friend, they only knew each other in passing, "I'm stepping out for a bit," he answered. Attempting to be one of the cool kids that split no details about their plans, just nodded and walked with a brilliant swagger that attracted people to them. And of course he couldn't do it. He'd need a leather jacket, or sunglasses, or a menacing build at the very least, all he had was a superpower, and God knows he didn't like using it to 'scare' people or look tough.

The silence was getting annoying after a while. The numbness was a little scary, too, after so long with the vivid colors. Adailia sighed, gave a quick goodbye to the boy, who didn't say anything, and strode up to Game, Fenn, and Xeda. The colors flashed back, but without the painful intensity she'd been expecting. It was like everything had a soft edge to it now, like it'd been painted with a pastel brush. She frowned, seeing Game's bag. Where was he going?

From his storm-cloud expression and red-singed aura, she guessed he was really mad. And from his three-four worded responses, she guessed he was going to be leaving for a bit. Good, she thought at first. Maybe then he'll finally be.. Happier. Less mopey or something. It was seriously depressing to see younger kids with their heads beneath the soil, asking for death at any opportunity. As soon as there was a crack in the conversation, she jumped in. "Um, hey, Game? I, uh, had something to show you. You know, before you leave," she said sincerely, her lips set in a firm line. She gave a small nod of acknowledgment to Xeda and Fenn.

All the more odd. She normally would have say by and watched Game go, happy with his leaving her the hell alone. And she would have ignored the other two. But with everything in the soft edges, her irritation was curbed into a tiny box in her brain. The brilliant green of curiosity that swirled around Fenn and Xeda had a gently feathered edge, and seemed to gather around their arms whenever they moved, like emerald-hued wings. Then she had a crazy, totally non-Adailia thought.

If I can turn my aura into a weapon, could they fly with aura?

Fenn looked blankly at the boy he now deemed as suicidal. Looking into some possibilities? Looking into the possibility of ending up dead with your face in a snowdrift, He thought. Ignoring the two other girls who were seemingly trying to make the boy feel better Fenn rose up the stairs and into his room.

Game looked at Adailia like she had just grabbed his arm, caked it in spaghetti sauce, and then slapped him with it a thousand times. He knew those lines all to well. She was asking him out. In not so many words, but that was exactly what it sounded like. And her choice of words had a certain sexual connotation that brought a smirk to his face. Opening his mouth for the first time in three weeks to speak to the girl, he said, "Uh, sure, I guess?" he said, still trying to remain aloof and non-committed, even though he was suddenly joyous with the thought of being asked out. He was completely unaware of how much of a hypocrite he was being. Shunning the girl one minute, and then the next, ready to throw his heart out to her, on a whim.

Adailia brightened. "Great!" she said, her voice a weird little chirrup of relief. She wasn't aware of the whole mindset Game had, but she could see the pink edges flare around him. She grabbed a little impatiently at his arm, to lead him away. Where to she had no clue. Somewhere the others couldn't see, hear, or eavesdrop on them. "You guys'll like Raimaru," she called over her shoulder. "Really quiet."

Game was whisked away with a smile on his face. Only a tiny bit confused, but still enjoying himself. He'd been carried off numerous times by girls, usually for good things, sometimes bad, such as being beaten up, but mostly good. And so, as a result, he believed this would be a good thing as well. Besides, Adailia seemed so much happier that it was hard not to think he was going to get at least a kiss. "So, uh... Where are we going?" he asked, for once concerned with the details, involving their prospective 'date'. It was hard to hide the smile that kept on crawling onto his face. No matter how many times he had tried to turn into the pouting emo kid in the back room that attracted girls like honey attracted bees.

Adailia stopped dragging him after they were out of earshot. Then she gave a sheepsih grin. "Uh... I really don't know." she said, turning to him. She looked confused at the smile on his face. Normally if she even uttered a phrase to him he seemed happier, in feeling at least. But now he looked livid with the expression. "You okay? You're all..." She gestured to his whole body. "Pink."

"Me?" he cleared his throat, his voice accidentally coming out a squeak. "I mean, I don't know what you mean." he murmured, "Anyway, theirs always Moor'dai." he said with a smirk, hoping that Adailia didn't know anything about the place. He could clearly see the ivory building, in Upper Sigma, looking down upon thousands of little tiny aliens. It was the greatest place for a date, and he'd been several times, every single time alone. Unlike most humans, he actually wanted to explore the various cities, and being in Lower Sigma was disgusting, so he usually stuck to Upper Sigma, taking the trams to various locations in hopes of finding a new hang out spot. No such luck though.

"Moor... What?" She looked genuinely confused. Adailia, of course never one to shop, had barely been to Upper Sigma. She was more concerned with her training as of late, and before she'd just never wanted to go. "Where would it be? I might have seen it..." she said, biting her lip. Oh, good lord. Unknowingly, the soft-edged auras had made her into a softer girl. For now, at least.

"It's in Upper Sigma, it's... easy to miss." Yeah, like a silver globe stuck on one of the highest towers in all of Sigma is easy to miss. He looked back at her for a moment with a frown, his eyebrow raised. What was wrong with her? The whole fun in liking her was that she was hard to get. The one fish that no one could catch, or some other crazy analogy his real father would have used. Something was definitely off about her, the way she had smiled before, the way she seemed so... Willing to throw herself at him. This wasn't the Adailia he knew. He pinched his arm to remind himself this wasn't a dream, and looked behind the girl for puppet strings. Nope. Nothing. He shrugged to himself, hormonal teenage girls were impossible to figure out. You know what they say, puberty is a hell of drug. "So, do you want to go now or..."

Confusion rippled out of Game, and she frowned a little. What was up with him? Hm... "Uh, sure?" she said, shrugging. "You'll have to lead me there," she said, her voice a little disdained, "Because I don't know the way."
