The Future is Now Empty

The stars whipped by, going so fast that they stretched into orderly white lines. The orderly streaks zoomed backwards, almost as if there were a terrible beast they all ran from and instead of conforming they--in a foolishly human manner--decided to go towards the danger. The steaks almost meant to say "Turn around idiots!" If they could form letters he'd be even more convinced. However, turning around would mean the trickster streaks would turn with them. The only way around would be to move slowly and let the dots calm down, but even those are deceitful.

Jeremy stared out the window, watching aforementioned streaks make their merry way by. He didn't know how fast they were going, but it was evident they were going fast enough. They'd left Fandors days ago, maybe a week, maybe just five days. He forgot. He'd been forgetting a lot of things lately. He sat in a high, white colored stool. It was an ugly looking one, to say the least. The legs were bent in such an odd manner, sticking out at joints as if they were the legs of a spider. A spider with four legs. He wished it could at least move around on its own instead of sit wherever someone dropped it and pollute the scenery around it. It didn't really much matter, there was nothing too fantastic about the inside of this beast of a ship. In relation to that, there was nothing exciting going on in it at all.

The ship, which could be easily compared to a cruise ship with its largeness, was only populated by one other person! Which so much space in between, there weren't many options on fun. As the minutes went by Chobo just wanted this long ride to end. He didn't remember where they were going, if they even made a destination. He sighed and spun in the seat, facing away from the window. Chobo jumped to the ground and left the somewhat depressing window. Something needed to be done, but what!? He could feel the need, a growing itch in the bitch of his stomach. Like an animal if wanted to be free, scratching, biting, roaring, growling...

He really needed some food! All this stomach unease wouldn't be a big deal if he had a sandwich or something. The only problem was was that... He could remember for the love of him where he could get food! He was sure there was a kitchen on this thing, but its exact location was a bit of a mystery. Sometimes he could find it, but mostly by fluke! He'd starve in here one day, he knew it.

Chobo groaned loudly, unhappy by his predicament. What they needed was an indoor butler or some kind of machine that just poofed food to you! God damn Steven. He could make a ship, but not a smart one.

OOC: I apologize...

The Future is Now Empty

Lida sighed and rubbed her temple with the tip of her left index finger. Piloting this monstrosity was giving her a headache, especially since she was using nothing but her powers to propel it through space rather than the nonsensical control panel. It seemed as if she could do a few things with her ability; levitate things through space and manipulate others' minds. Both highly useful, but very unrefined. Occasionally the ship would jolt, stutter, of all together stop in it's movement. She didn't understand Steven or what he made, and now she never would. Her brother was probably dead, now chopped up and buried under a foot of manure in some farmer's field. She stared at the stars whizzing past. He had underestimated those aliens; they all had. But she had been safely near the ship while he had been the taunting armed and angry simpletons.

Lida's expression was morose. The ship slowed down a little so that the stars stopped whizzing by. She stood with her arms linked in front of her, simply staring out of the panoramic window, marveling the infinity before her. All of this could have been perfect, had Steven survived. A utopia. Everything. Perfect. Lida leaned over the control panel, careful not to poke any obtusely shaped buttons. She let her eyes wander over them, observing every detail as if they were a photo album. This ship was the last thing he'd made besides that awful costume for himself.

Her moment of mourning was interrupted by something in her peripheral vision. A ship loomed in front of her. It wasn't a battleship, or really a ship at all... It looked more like a Station. "Chobo, do you have any idea what this is?," she said in almost a whisper, then repeated more loudly.

Idea what what was? Chobo approached Lida and looked from the same window she did. A large object loomed in the sky, circular in base with a tall spiral sticking off its top. It looked unfinished. Small patches were still worked on. He could see the group of diligently working machines zapping at the metal.

"It looks like a space station!" He remarked with excitement, glad to see something that could get him off of this horror. "Or maybe a... Base?" A space base. He didn't really know. It looked too big to be quite a station. Maybe aliens had something extra. "Think anyone is in there?" Anyone with a home cooked meal!

"Yes, there must be." She looked on at the station. They were getting closer, slowly but steadily. Her eyes were wide like a doe's and the image of the station was reflected in them. "We're going there." She looked back at Chobo, smiling a bit. "If they show any signs of hostility I believe that we have sufficient power between the two of us to put them on the defensive." Indeed. The 'us' thing was for Chobo's morale. She didn't even know what his power was.

Ah well. This whole experience in piloting the ship with only her mind had been great practice for her. Besides telekinetic power, she knew she could do other things. Like mind control. As she turned back towards the window, her smile grew a little wider, revealing a set of perfect ivory teeth.
