Neilson lay as still as a board in the middle of the sidewalk. He didn't lay across the middle of the sidewalk, just in the middle so that people had to step around him and stare a little. There was almost nothing to do at all. In fact, the absence of things to fill up his spare time with was so great, one might infer that there really wasn't anything to do, even raising his boss's blood pressure was of no entertainment at this moment. So taking the initiative, he decided that the only way to have something to do was to make something, hence the mildly inconveniencing any passerby that might come along. So far it seemed to be working, in fact, he had managed to inconvenience a total of: 653 civilians, 2 police officers, 4 merchants, what seemed like a wealthy business man, and two of the ROS aides that were constantly being sent out.

Lan walked stone-faced on a sidewalk, the same she had done unceasingly for the past two days except for the occasional break for food and water. Why? It had been two days since Prince Naito Sakuranbo's life ended. She had trekked through the wilderness until now, avoiding cities and towns, so she truthfully didn't know whether or not the media had her picture. It was very unlikely, being how the prince was in a regular residential house with no interior security cameras. Butcha never know.

She jogged up a short flight of stairs made of pale stone, crossed a poorly paved street, and stopped. She hated Gertragia more than any other planet in existence. It was always hot and humid 24/7, or however long Gert days were, and some of the cities were just as confusing as the jungle surrounding them. Her apprentice was waiting for her at a spaceport, and being late would infuriate her. A real chip off the old block...

Lan looked around, trying to match her view with an orthographic view she had seen of the city. Needless to say, she failed. All she could do was walk in a random direction and hope to eventually get somewhere familiar. It was getting late though, so at least there weren't very many people on the streets anymore. She started to walk again, turned another corner, and abruptly stopped beside the head of some random winged dude. She looked down at him, with her feet nearly touching the top of his head, and gave him the meanest scowling she had given somebody in a long time. She couldn't being to comprehend why this dunce was lying here, in the middle of the sidewalk. Maybe he was severely mentally retarded and lost his chaperone or something. She didn't really care.

"Moron," she mumbled, before stepping on his face. She didn't feel like walking around him, so she stepped on his stomach, then made a small jump over his legs and back onto the pavement. She thought about insulting him, or ordering him to get the fudge up, but if he really was retarded, talking to him probably wouldn't make a difference.

Gert sucks.

Neilson had actually fallen asleep and was taking a little cat nap before he found a massive booted foot in his stomach and abruptly woke up. Neilson promptly sprung to his feet and used his wings to propel himself off the ground before coming down and panting on the ground. Raising himself to his feet, he looked after the figure of the female that had stepped on him. "Hey! What the hell?" he said, dusting himself off and rubbing his eyes "That hurt man. Disrespectful much?". The heads up display built into his contacts identified the woman as an employee of RAVEN though no other information was given.

Using his powers, he used his powers of nuclear fusion to create a small perfectly spherical ball of pure Iron and tossed it at the female.

Lan ignored the alien's voice. She just couldn't manage to care what he was saying. She was much more preoccupied with finding her destination because there was productivity behind it, and listening to a raging Xti or bird ilet or whatever is definitely not productive.

She perked up at a slight crackling, then the sound of something forcing air out if its way. A projectile? Instantly, Lan took a big step forward to put more distance between her and the alien and whipped around as fast as she could while simultaneously unsheathing a Bowie trail point knife hidden up her sleeve. She let instinct do the rest, as thinking would take too much time. She raised the knife and positioned it in front of the iron ball, holding the knife a little to the right. The iron sphere hit the knife perfectly as it impacted the "top" of the blade, rolled along the knife's curve, and flew off in another direction.

Yeah, something told her it was definitely an Xti. Lan stood still, deathglaring the alien, and pondered her next move. Should she just walk away and get off this stupid planet? Or should she continue the fight? Well, DUH! She flipped the knife into the air, caught the tip of the blade, and threw the knife at the Xti, putting a good spin into it.

Neilson hadn't expected the move and had completely disregarded the skill with which the person reacted. As soon as the knife came out though, he kept all of his attention on the knife, ignoring the fancy trick of deflecting the iron ball when the girl (he could see her face now) threw the knife at him.

As the knife flew through the air, Neilson's brain traced it's relatively straight trajectory through the air and determined that unless he didn't act fast, the knife would impact directly inbetween his eyes. Relying on the energy from fusion he had stored up from the ball of iron, he semi-instantaneously pulled together atoms of helium to make carbon and arranged the atoms into a razor thin sheet of diamond. Finally with the energy from fusing the helium, he caused a miniature nuclear explosion to propel the sheet towards the knife which was by now a mere foot from his face. Backed by the force of the blast, the diamond sheet collided with knife and forced it to deflect and bury itself safely in the ground. The diamond sheet also tumbled to the ground and bounced with a thud.

Neilson looked at the knife and then back at the girl before raising his hands with the palms upward, the international sign of peace. There was only one anomaly however, the database had this particular RAVEN employee as extremely dangerous so while his hands were up, the was an ever so slight glow as he began to continue fusing atoms. He harvested every last joule of energy and slowly coated the back of his hands with aluminium-iron alloy.

Lan stared at the Xti like he was retarded. He attacked her, and when she fought back, he quickly became a peaceful pansy? Geez. She especially hated people who did that. They were like the bully in middle school that deserved to be punched in the nose, and when they finally were, they went crying to a teacher. Dumb alien was just wasting her time. And she most definitely did not have time to waste.

She lifted her left leg up like she was gonna kick someone in the shin and balanced herself on one foot. Lan grabbed an AY69 pistol strapped to one side of her shoe and a suppressor strapped to the other side and quickly attached them. Then she put her foot down and raised the sixty caliber pistol. It looked a bit awkward with the suppressor on it. It had to be big and fat to compensate for the pistol's high caliber. "I don't have time to mess with you!" She snapped, frowning. After she killed him, she would just have to run to the spaceport faster and hope nobody called the police and gave them a good description of her. Because them she might have to hurt the police too. And then RAVEN would have to fork over some compensation money. And then she would get punished in some way. And then Mr. Rovkoski would throw a brick at her, because that's what she did to new military recruits when they did something stupid.

Her eyes flickered to the slight glowing on the Xti's hands. She instantly aimed at his face and fired.

An instinctive tightening of the muscles in her hand was all Neilson needed to see to know she was going to shoot. With as much speed as he could muster, he formed yet another sheet of diamond in front of him, throwing his hands forward just as she pulled the trigger. The gunshot sound was phenomenal, even if there was a suppressor on it. As the bullet slammed into the shield, the kinetic energy imparted was enough to send it flying backwards, impacting his hands and making them numb. But now was not the time for that, now was the time to minimize damage, preferably to himself.

Neilson used the metal on his hand to glue the diamond sheet to one of his hands while he used the other one to materialize a fistful of BB sized spheres of metal. Which he promptly threw at her, at very high speed, well enough to sting a lot.

Lan quickly shielded her face with her arms, causing most of the metal spheres to painfully impact them and her torso. Dammit, why did she have to step on his face? She could have been at the spaceport by now (probably not, but still a possibility) if she had refrained from it.

She briefly considered retreat, but she wanted her Bowie knife back, which was still sticking upright through the sidewalk. She unsheathed another Bowie from her other sleeve and twirled it around in her hand for a second. "Back down, fool!" She commanded. "If you keep this up, I'll annihilate you." Mhm, like that ever worked.

Holding her Bowie at the ready, she stepped forward with one foot and flipped her knife from her right hand to her left. At this moment she decided to avoid killing him. The situation didn't really call for lethal tactics. She abruptly dashed forward, then spun her whole body around and aimed a tornado kick right at the alien's throat. Maybe a good dose of paralysis would put an end to this dumb fight.

Neilson was now thoroughly scared of this woman, thoroughly scared as in turning off all sense of fear. This chick was clearly going to kill him anyway even if he backed down so he made a resolution that he would win, though he still didn't want to kill her. The leg came around for his head or whatever and he was surprised that she didn't use the knife, a tornado kick was perhaps the worst tactical a person would make since he simply let his body drop; the leg came up and over his head, missing by almost half an inch. As her momentum brought her leg away and exposed her back, Neilson hit the ground and pivoted on his hands and brought both of his legs around to aim his heals at two spots, one on her lower spine and one at her head to take her out of the fight, but non-lethal, triggering another fusion detonation to add more speed to the attack.
