Ah, she was a fool. A fool! To try and save people like she was Wonder Woman. Hmphf. If she were Wonder Woman she would be in this situation! Her trusty Lasso of Truth would have kept her back with all the military aliens! But she was no Wonder Woman and she had no lasso. Xeda sat at the floor of her cage, frowning. Now that she was part of the Evoknight's zoo, what now? Where they going to take them to SuperEvokngithWorld? Probably. Maybe do some kind of freaky experiment like the aliens on the movies.

Xeda shuddered, cold in her cell. More than likely because of her general lack of clothing. General meaning complete lack of clothing. She was angry now, but anger wouldn't melt the hot bars of energy that locked her in, as much as she would like that. She had absolutly no clue how to get out of here. She had contemplating turning into something and slipping out, but unfortunately a quick test told her that trying that could result in a high chance of being sliced up. Something thin, maybe. Like a snake? No. Snakes had to slither about all side to side. She'd hit something. How come there couldn't be some kind of slender animal out there that would just come to her mind. Or some kind of energy consuming one. That would be nice.

She regretted going after the military guy in some hopes of saving him, as if she couldn't just have let it all happen and had her ass safe. But for once she had to be the hero and help people and such. Now she was captured. Hopefully it would be like those cartoons and such where they escape in a pretty epic way. She needed a good confidence booster right now.

OOC: And... I couldn't think of anything. :3

Escape and Assist! Empty

Raj, who had long since misplaced his last name between the first laser that had melted what he called his home, and the small army taking over the refugee camp, and leaving him the only one alive, but it wasn't like he thought much about his last name when he was locked inside of a prison cell, all alone, bathed in darkness. His mind was concentrated on every single whisper, every step, and every tiny shuffle of feet. Fear had dissipated; his only emotion right now was anticipation. Nothing was happening, but he knew something bad was going to. Just like in any scary movie, once the music turned off, everyone stopped talking; there was that hush, where you just waited for the monster to pop out. It wasn't the sight of the creature that made your heart jump, it’s the waiting and knowing that's it going to happen, and then having your fears proven.

He wasn't scared of Evoknights. They weren't really all that frightening under that golden armor, but what they could do was something that scared him, it made his powers look minuscule, almost useless, which while locked in cage they were. Raj stared at the wall, purple bags under his eyes, and an emotionless frown on his face. Food was always on his mind, real food not whatever Evoknights called what he had been eating for the past weeks. Food and survival. He was well aware of the person in the next cell over, but he didn’t care. There were tons of weird, crazy and outrageous things on this… He didn’t even know what it was; who ever or whatever was in the next cell was probably not something he wanted to think about.

OOC: Sarcastically epic post.

Escape and Assist! Empty
PostSubject: Re: Escape and Assist!   Escape and Assist! EmptyWed Jun 15, 2011 7:03 pm

To serve and protect. To avenge and conquer. That's what he had signed up for. Not to be taken prisoner. There were many bad things you could become in war. Dead, of course. Becoming permanently incapacitated. Or, like right now, becoming a P.O.W. His life had rapidly deteriorated over the last two months. Prior to his capture, he took a little too much for granted. Like seeing sunlight every day.

Life here was horrible. Maybe not for the children. When Jairus was in his cell, he had never seen the Evoknights shut off the lasers barring the door to his cell. But often, he wasn't in his cell. Day in and day out, he had been through excruciating torture because of his involvement in UWUC. And to make it even worse, they never used the same torture device twice. It terrified him to his core because he never knew what to expect.

He had been through pain he never knew was possible. It was certainly designed to push someone to the brink of insanity and sheer death, but not past. And he had not been alone. There were other people being tortured too, one he even recognized as his squadron's demolition's expert, Captain Kowalewski. Cohen, his squad called him. He had made everything worse.

One day, when he had been taken to the torture chambers and strapped to a table, there had been a pause. The Evoknights had shot some remarks at each other, and he learned later that they had brought the incorrect torture tools. So there was a brief moment between him and Cohen, but Jairus wished the conversation had never existed. He explained that their squad's sniper, Sare, was most likely dead. Rho, the newbie of the squad, killed. Mitochen, killed. Lorkuvist, killed. Mobius MIA. Eve MIA. Cardac MIA. And, now, they were both MIA. He would probably never be seen again. So that left only Target, Cosmas, and Briley. His confidence in himself and the war had evaporated. About a week before, Kowalewski died.

It had certainly been at least ten hours since his last visit to the interrogation room. Jairus shook in his cell. What could be waiting in his next visit? The Evos, they would come for him any minute now. Any second. Panic flowed through his veins. He wasn't sure how much longer he could go through with this. His skin was discolored from an infinite number of bruises, burns, poisons. His chest looked the worse, what with broken ribs jutting out.

As time crawled by, he began to calm down. The ship occasionally rocked, and he well knew that feeling. Explosions. Outside. And close. Was he really about to be liberated? Was it possible to see sunlight again? He watched with dark eyes as some Evoknights ran past, toating guns. His eyes flicked to the cage across from him. He guessed Xeda was in the adjacent cell. He really hoped so. But he had no idea what was in the cell across from him. It was some beastlike thing with four arms, and stared back with insanity plaguing it's eyes.

He quickly looked down at the floor, minding another jolt that surged though the ship.

OOC: Quantity over quality. This post is retarded... u_u

Escape and Assist! Empty

The quiet was unnerving. All it ever was was quiet, except for when the Evoknights swung by to have a chit-chat with the Sergent. Today wasn't as bad. The occasional rumble of the ship from outdoor explosions were there too, but how does that make it better. Either they were quiet or on the verge on being exploded to death! What kind of POW carrier just flew through the war zone? Maybe they abandoned ship and this was just their trump card...

Ugh, the possibilities were terrifying, and here she was, just sitting here and waiting to be exploded or hacked up or... However she was decided to die. She had to get out of here. She had to try to escape. Why hadn't she tried sooner? Maybe because she didn't want to get shot by lasers or because she didn't know where she was or because she didn't want to just abandon the person she got in this mess for. Or maybe it was because she was afraid. Heh. I'd shoot for the last one, but that's not here nor there. How would she go about this, though? She had no plan for what to do next or where to go or how to go about whatever was happening outside! She wasn't even completely one hundred percent on where she was in relation to the rest of the ship. She didn't remember what her surroundings looked like since most of her time here has been spent in darkness. There was no use in escaping if she was going to be zapped by some motion sensing security system.

Well we better have some look around then. On command Xeda began to shift into a different form, bones shifting and body shape changing. Eyes enlarging and feathers sprouting it didn't take long for Xeda to turn into a large owl. Dark colored feathers made the dark seem a little bit darker, but with large eyes that attempted to take in all available light, seeing was much easier.

She could see the cage Jairus sat in in front of her and another one behind that had some other human in it and then other miscellaneous cages with miscellaneous things... Wait, another human? She swiveled her head back in his direction. How come she never noticed him? If she'd found him out sooner she could have come up with a much better plan than winging it...

Oh well... Another one for the breakout.

Xeda did a feathery shrug and focus her attention on the bars of energy that locked her in. She needed something just small enough to fit through. The bars were close together, but not super close. She thought she could think of something to squeeze on through. Something that could see in the dark too. Energy or not, it wasn't that luminescent. She tried to muster up some knowledge of the furry night creatures she had learned about in books or television or odd trips to the zoo. Mammals and birds... Too big. Reptiles... She didn't know many. Insects, ugh, insects. They didn't get very interesting. The only one she really liked was the scorpion, the able-bodied creature of deserts. Maybe she could try that one out, the one she had in mind wasn't too big. Bones breaking audible she changed as she did the last time, watching the word get taller the times her eyesight wasn't impaired by blood or when they actually existed on her face. The transformation finished as all her bones moved in one fluid motion outside of her body, creating the much needed exoskeleton. She shuddered, watching the blood that pooled around her boil and then evaporate into the air like water. That... Couldn't have been good for the air.

Xeda grinned the best a scorpion could, eying her large claws that hung out in front of her. She tested out her pincers, snapping them together and making clicking noises only she could probably hear. Okay, business time. Xeda crawled out of the cage on her little legs and stopped just outside of it, looking around for what she could see. Okay, first step in a breakout. Release the prisoners or eliminate obstacles? Eliminate obstacles seemed like the way to go. Or at least point them out. She wouldn't be stopping much but green, alien spiders with antennae. She swiveled her eyes to and fro and turned her body this way and that, trying to find any sign of a camera. Cameras, cameras... What did those look like? In her time spent her she hadn't seen a single camera that resembled the ones on Earth and, in effect, looked over them completely. There had to be cameras, there was no way the apartments were without any. Right? Right. So what did they look like. Maybe... Her eyes turned to Jairus. He knows? Probably. Military people got rid of cameras all the time, right? He'd know the ins and outs.

Xeda ran towards his cage as fast as her legs could take her. A loud boom burst into the air, scaring her immobile as the ship shook and trembled as if a thousand earthquakes were going off at once. Whatever was going on outside seemed more intense when you weren't... As big. It took her a moment to regain her wits and when she did she was off again, trying to get to Jairus before the next big one hit. Standing in front of his cage she thought he looked a little depressed. When people in service get seemed to be depressed during a war that was... Not a good sign. Man, they better make it through this. Now how was she supposed to go about this? Change back to normal? What if something detected her? Like an invisible laser? And then she gets shot or alarms go off. They hadn't detected her yet, maybe it was some kind of height thing? Maybe there was none at all. She didn't want to take that chance, though. Alternatives, alternatives. Maybe...

Xeda sneaked into Jairus' cage, thankful that her black coloration kept her from being seen so easily. She wouldn't want him to freak out and step on her or something. She stopped behind the exceptionally large form, thinking about how this would go down. Hm. Did they have scorpions in outer space? Hopefully, or this would really freak him out. She snickered at the thought. It'll be like Hell broke loose. Xeda jumped then, landing on the enormous soldiers back. With a nonvenomous strike of her barbed tail she used her power into a scorpion as well.

OOC: This post was significantly better the first time I wrote it. ._. Also, I couldn't think of anything for Raj.
