Etrius sat in the conference room with a pair of his twin sisters running around in the back playing russian roulet with a paintball revolver. He sat with some of his military fleet admirals, the Jenova fleet commander joining them using a hologram projector, all of them dressed in their best dress uniforms (Lotus wearing an open necked polo shirt and jeans).
"alright gentlemen, lets begin shall we?" He brought up a hologram of the planet and panned around as he made his points "with the destruction of the command ships and the EMP, the Evoknight fleet has fallen apart and is currently being held back by our extra-orbital fleet and point range defenses"
He panned around to several spots marked on the map located at most of the major cities. "evacuation of most of the civilian population has almost finnished with the exception of some of the major population centers. Any remaining Evoknight ground forces are too busy worrying about the military evacuations and said escorts to worry about a bunch of refugees."
he switched to a hologram of the fleets and continued talking. "right now, almost all of our transports are full so we are stuffing the hangers and cargo spaces of military ships, removing them from combat duty to protect the passengers. The ONA fleet alone has several billion people packed into 50000 transports, about 47700 of them are private owned or from Sigma based shipyards"
"currently there are more transports than Entente military ships to defend them, even enlisting the aid of stranded mercenary corporations and UWUC pilots, we cannot defend the transports efficiently. Spread out across the entire fleet not counting the flagships abilities, we will have to assign about 120 merchant ships to each and every frigate, 230 to each intermediate ship, 540 to each capital ship and around 1000 per flagship. We will need to enlist the aid of the the RAVEN and wormholemancer forces, otherwise we will be swamped with refugees"
Jenova turned up the volume a bit on the conversation and cleared his throat. The figure of him was seen standing up and the chair disappeared. "With all due respect, i have some contact with the RAVEN fleet, i doubt that the Varsian or Exfordian commanders would listen to me as they too are swamped with refugees though not as badly. at least they aren't assigning a hundred merchants to each frigate."
"sir, with all due respect" said one of the fleet commanders "i believe that some of the larger merchantmen are armed to some extent, we have enough refugees to crew them and we can use those for combat duty. I can point out a few models that are armed and a quick scan can pick out the modified civilian craft." He pulled up the hologram and pointed out what he meant. "Jenova, do you believe you can call on some of the commanders at this time?"
"Yes sir, i can send a general broadcast among the Entente at this time, although they might be a bit busy"
"do it, in the meantime we will decide what to do with the refugees and the escorts"
"got it sir, i believe i am occupying the holo-table right now. Jenova out" he saluted, waved and the image flickered out.
