SUPER SPACE NINJAS... IN 3D! open/aarao

Au Aarao moaned to himself. Lying on the couch, that wasn't a couch, mending his horrible headache. It seemed to haven't given way yet even though it had been days since he had seen... Ren. The bird woman. He hadn't told Sacrifice about it. Why worry here pretty little head. It would be better if she just never had to deal with it. Besides, using his powers would probably prompt Sacrifice to use hers. And he wouldn't have her using her abilities for her own personal gain. His parents had brought him up on strict principals. And currently, he had broken most of them. He pinched his forehead, wondering if it was still possible to go out to see if he could get a job. If he didn't get a job, no more electricity. No more electricity, no more home. No more home, no more food. And that meant, death. He sighed, maybe he was just digging to deep into this, but he had a right to be aggravated. Not at himself, but at the world he lived in.

He got to his feet, wandering over toward's Sacrifice's room, which really wasn't a room, more like a hole in the wall where she slept. She was watching some... Cartoon or an alien attempt at live action, but looked phonier than any animation he had ever seen before. Super... Space... Ninjas... 3D. Could they afford 3D glasses? No. But Sacrfice seemed to enjoy it. The look on her face, brought a smile to his own. "What are you watching?" he asked, noting the fact that he could hear the 'television' screaming random phraes at him. The Alien to Human translation system wasn't exactly perfect, and left out tons of useful pronouns. He didn't understand how Sacrifice could even understand what those alien ninjas were saying.

Ren walked down the Pusanem streets alone, or more correctly, without a friend. There were countless aliens around her. They were all talking in garbled languages that she couldn't understand. Some of them had high weedy voices, others had vocals that sounded like someone sloshing through mud. The only thing universal about their speech was the sneers on their faces as she passed them by. She returned their snarls with an emotionless glare. She didn't care what they thought. To her they were just money, a means of survival. Their lives, their opinions, their everything meant nothing to her. Well, one thing meant something to her, their monetary value. The kicked over a can lying dejectedly on the side of the road. Her washed out purple optics flitted to an open window. Inside an extremely minute TV blared. Ren could instantly tell what program was on. Super Space Ninjas, in 3D of course. A small smile teased at her lips.

Aarao groaned as his sister ordered/asked him to join her in watching the movie. He was too old for these kinds of things. But apparently, Sacrifice wasn't. When would she ever grow up and get rid of those stupid fake ears. He swallowed down his resentment sitting down on the bed next to his sister. And glaring at the TV. He truly wasn't paying any attention to it, in fact, his mind kept roving itself back to the day before. With that Ren girl. Get her out of your mind... he told himself. The girl was just another insignifcant part of society. She wasn't even that beautiful. Besides, she had tried to kill him. For the most part, he should have called the police. That was what he would have done, if he knew what an alien phone looked like. Or what the number for 911 was here. He looked away from the TV screen for but a moment, looking towards the opened window. "How many times do I have to tell you, to keep this closed?" he asked, with a sigh at how much he reminded himself of his late parents. May they rest in peace, bah.

He got up from his seat, on his sisters bed, and walked towards the window. Casting a suspcious glare across the empty streets, and not seeing anything. Anything that was worth talking about. He grabbed hold of the ratty curtains, and wrenched them forward to form a wall between him in the outside world. In that same moment. A figure took up his eye sight. Someone was out there. As the curtains closed, Aarao took a step back. "No way..." he said in an almost inaudible whisper. That couldn't have been the bird woman. Had she found him here? So quickly? Was that even possible. He could feel his heart pressing against his chest. What if she had seen him. Sacrifice could be in danger. He looked back at her with a worring stare. No matter. If she came upstairs, he could just tell her to leave. And she would. But wouldn't she come back. And keep coming back? Was killing her possible... Yes, most likely it was. But... Should he really resort to killing her. He had to find out what she wanted, first.

That face. Could it be? She cocked her head to the side. Aarao. It appeared that he had seen her. "Huh," she said aloud. Was the sight of her that terrifying? She didn't look scary, or at least she didn't think. Perhaps it was because of their last encounter. Yeah, probably. In a way she was a little scared of him. She of course, was much more willing to kill, but she didn't know just how far these humans would go for self preservation. Not that she was trying to kill him, she didn't want to. ...But that didn't mean that it was out of the question. Against her will, she took a nervous step forward. Why was she doing this? For some reason fear was gnawing at her, but why was she scared?

Aarao turned around almost immediately as he heard his sisters voice. Giving her a glare that would have sent an army skittering away. But it quickly dissipated. Into a sorry sigh. "Nothing. You know, you really shouldn't be cooked up in this room for so long, you need to see the town." said Aarao with a forced. He grabbed hold of his sisters wrist a little too viciously. He began to trudge away. Pushing out of the door of his apartment room, and heading towards the rear exit. And away from the Ren. The rear exit was somewhat of a fire escape. But it was the only way to be sure he wouldn't get Sacrifice hurt in what might be a fight. Besides, he didn't know how well his powers would work again, especially if her gun was quicker than his thoughts. Then he was doomed. He ignored anything Sacrifice would say about this. Though he didn't use his power. It would be simple to order her out the door, but he was reluctant to do so. Doing something like that was unthinkable for him. Better to just force her along.

Ren's feeble step had turned into a fast, awkward gait. There had to be some reason the two kept meeting, right? Her lips turned downward at the edges. No matter how much she tried not to believe in the whole 'divine intervention' thing she sometimes found herself with no other reason for things. Tiny white flakes fell on her shoulders, making her all the more eager to find this Au Aarao, ask him what she needed to know (whatever that might be, she didn't exactly have anything planned) and get back home. She came upon the apartment. Should she knock? Yeah, probably. She doubted these humans would appreciate her barging in. A little sheepishly she knocked on the outside door.

Aarao stepped out onto the street with his sister, with no direction in his mind. He looked around, wondering if there was some sort of way to hide. This girl was obviously insane. And she was armed. But should he really be afraid of her? He released Sacrifice's hand and clenched his fists. "Stay here, Sacrifice." he ordered, and yet again he didn't use his power. He walked back towards the apartment building with a scowl growing on his face. It was high time he got rid of this bird woman once and for all. Opening the door, when he knew he could have kicked it open, he entered. He could clearly see Ren now. And he was only slightly afraid. Should he just tell her to kill herself? No, that would be pointless. He had to see what she wanted. And besides, he wasn't a murderer. Not yet anyway. "What do you want, Ren?" he asked his voice shaking with anger and a slight hint of fear that was impossible to hide.

Ren snapped her head around to meet Aarao's voice. His tone immediately put her into a bad mood, although the use of her name rather than 'bird woman' was pleasing. She turned around, her scowl matching his. She was surprised at how her voice shook, much like Aarao's. "I want to talk." She wouldn't draw her weapon, not yet. That was a surefire way to make him unwilling to cooperate. She needed to know about what he had done to her, when he had made her step out of the way.

"Talk... Talk about what?" Aarao's aggressive scowl deteriorated into a disapproving frown. What could she possibly want to know about him? He should be the one with all the questions. He noticed that she hadn't drawn her weapon yet, a fact that made him curious as to what she was planning.

Ren fought to keep her voice from shaking. "I want to talk about that," she paused to think of a word, "That power of your's." This was it. The thing she had been waiting to know for what seemed like forever. This was the key to her success. She didn't consider whether the power was able to be replicated or not, which was of course a key factor. Surely there was something that could have caused that ability to develop, no one was born with such power, where they? Ren's feeble wings fluttered in excitement as she awaited input from Aarao. Of course if he wasn't willing to talk then she could make him. Although she didn't really want to, she wasn't sure why. She didn't let the fact bother her as her eyes shown with expectation.

Ren didn't have time to react. The slightly crazed smile remained on her face even as she fell to the ground, completely paralyzed.

The aliens, two Chromakans and one Galaxior, ran straight towards the human boy. "Are you sure this is the right one?" Snarled one of the Chromakans, his voice high and weedy.
"Xuatax said that the target would be here, and that it was a rare species, that's all I know," spoke the Galaxior. He gestured to Aarao, "And as far as I know humans are pretty rare." The Galaxior nodded, and the Chromakans swarmed over the boy. In a moment he was apprehended. The high-voiced Chromakan pulled a syringe from his pocket, and with a nasty smile he pushed it into the boy's arm. In the syringe was a very powerful sedative. Leaving Ren passed out on the ground the band of aliens ran back to their hideout with Aarao over shoulder to report back to Xuatax.
