Echo gathered her things in her room, her shoulder bag, her notebook and a few random pens and pencils. She should be set. She looked over, grabbed her keys and left off towards Lenina's room. She twisted her raven coloured hair into a ponytail, walked down the hallway towards room 305, Lenina's room. Right next door to Echo. Echo was over there 'visiting', more like scheming, well, she hoped it would go that way. Being her some-what-evil self, she always hoped things would turn out that way. Echo's flats click-clocked down the hall as she approach the room. She tapped lightly on the door, sort of afraid of what she might see inside. Lenina was known to be uhh … different, so would her room be too? She shrugged it off and waited for the door to open. She hummed something to herself and wondered what would take place.

Lenina was doing what every girl did in the morning. Putting on her make-up. But, looking at her, you'd think she'd be preparing for war. Her former brown skin was dyed a beautiful cherry red. Straight white strikes fell down from her eyes and mouth, as if she had been crying. Her eyes were covered in a milky substance with dark black outlines. The same black lines covered her mouth. Her dark brown, cinnamon freckles had disappeared. And her blond hair was tied up in a pony tail, or a tribal wolf tail. For all the world, she looked like she had just stepped out of an African painting. Except for the way she dressed. Unlike most humans, she embraced the alien culture, blending it with her own in a completely strange way. Instead of wearing, the primitive cloth of humans, she wore a strange foam fiber, skin tight uniform. That was for the most part blue, except for the bright red cuff links and markings along the ankle. Tiny crystals were embedded into these cuffs. She was never much for fashion, but it felt good to look like she belonged at Sigma.

As someone knocked on her door, Lenina finished lining her eyelashes that curled upward ever so gently. She frowned, making the lines on her mouth bend. She turned away from the vanity mirror. And walked towards the door. She always kept it unlocked, because truly, she had nothing to hide... That could be seen. And the only one that could truly read minds was Bianca, and Lenina's thoughts were always in her native Afrikaans. She opened the door quickly, letting it slide away revealing an open doorway. She came face to face with Echo. The girl next door as they say. Whoever they were. She could hear the girl hum, and Lenina pursed her lips, about to make out the words, 'what do you want'. But she presumed it was self-explanatory. No need to ask questions. So almost immediately, she smiled, her teeth twinkling white like snow. "Greetings, cómo estás?" she asked, a voice of innocence.

She looked back at her room, noticing the bright white tendrils that fell from ceiling, sparkling a brilliant white, and at the flip of the switch turning into an actual light. Her walls were painted, or... resembled a strange mosaic of oddities. It was a rainbow of colors all sprinkled in odd orders, or randomly across the four walls. Truth be told, she had just taken some alien markers and flicked the brightly colored ink onto the wall until it had turned into this. It may have a taken a while, but the dizzying effect was worth it. It reflected her personality. Crazy. Her bed was unmade, and the floor was covered in random amounts of clothing or paper. She stepped aside, allowing Echo inside, her posture showed that she was open to spill any secrets. But her mind was closed off to all others.

Echo shuffled in, her eyes set on the girls face, yes, indeed it looked weird and creepy, but if she likes it … she likes it. Echo was wearing what a an average girl her age would wear, even though she wasn't so average. A black skirt above her knees, well probably too high, but whatever. On her top she a mess, pink, three quarter sleeve sweater that hung off the shoulders. She wore what almost every other girl wore for make up; cover up, blush, eye shadow, liner, and mascara. She looked back at Lenina as she talked. "I'm good. You?" she asked, understanding … uh, spanish was it? Echo looked in the room, no wonder she didn't have a room mate. The room was covered in paint? It was splattered across the room … or was it markers? Well, whatever it was it actually looked cool. Very Lenina like. The floor was covered in some sort of papers and the bed was unmade. Oh well, Echo hated overly neat people. She walked over past the bed, towards a chair. Echo sat down, crossed her legs and waited for Lenina to .. Pfft, she didn't know what to expect.

Lenina raised an invisible eyebrow at the girl. She seemed okay with just walking into the strangest person in the apartments room and sitting down as if she wasn’t in any danger. She was used to people speeding up when they passed her door, not wanting to wake the freak that slept behind it. She closed the door behind her, averting her eyes from the girl as if her very image sickened her. Curiosity made her not throw the girl out, even though she really wanted too. Lenina didn’t know much about the people in this apartment, but she knew this girl only because she lived next door. Echo Van Dessen. A poison. She was an outcast, that much was obvious. Was it because of her power? Most likely. No one wanted to be near someone that could produce poison, she could be a rather good ally. “So… EVD. What do you need?” she asked, raising her head upward.

"It's just Echo." The girl clarified, her eyes red hot, and her voice a tad bit angry. Echo had always hated her last name. Van Dessen. Van Ew. She hated it. Her teeth clenched at the thought. "I'm guessing you know why I'm here?" she asked, wasn't it obvious? They were both outcasts, the were both … odd, they both had very destructive powers, and they were both evil? Echo stood up, looking at Lenina like she had serious news, well, she kinda did, "Why do you act so weird? " Echo asked, flat out, straight. Echo seemed to know that it was an act. No one was that off. Was she trying to pull one over everyone? Well, everyone besides Echo maybe?

Echo, Echo, Echo. It made Lenina think of someone screaming at the Grand Canyon, begging for an answer to an unanswerable question. It was kind of cool. Lenina was lost in thought as Echo finally spoke, the girl just stared at her with a blank and soulless expression. Then the next question blew her away. 'Why do you act so weird'?' It wasn't a strange question, but the way she said it was strange. She spoke it without condemning her, as if it were just an average question. As if pulling off an invisible mask for the first time ever, Lenina's true self began to show. She laughed. A horrible, and insulting cackle that echoed uproarisly through the room before finally settling down. "It's about time someone finally didn't take something at face level. No one ever expects the freak to be a snake. Or to be the next world ruler. But it's always the outcasts that get things done, is it not?"

Echo's ears ringed as Lenina laughed, it was an insane, rather annoying, crackle. "The people here are as clueless as a blind mouse." she giggled, " Do you know of anyone else like you and I?" she asked, maybe there was more? Could they form something, like an evil band of outcasts? And like Lenina had said, being world ruler, that would hopefully happen too, but instead of Lenina being the ruler, it would be Echo. She shook that thought out and saved it for later. With Lenina's and hers power alone she could do many things. But with the help of others ... something more could happen. "Are you thinking what am I'm thinking?" Echo had always hated those lines, but at the time, it seemed like the right thing to say. " If we got a few other outcasts .. something could happen." she murmured very quietly.

"Anyone else like us?" Lenina smiled, her canines peaking out of her mouth giving her a fanged appearance. She walked towards Echo in a strangely menacing way. "Echo... So free and yet so closeminded." She said, the very words she spoke condricting her. "I have bigger goals than just getting a bunch of friends together for a tea party. You don't control a civilization through segregation. In the words of my hero, Malcolm X ' I am against every form of racism and segregation, every form of discrimination. I believe in human beings, and that all human beings should be respected as such.' If my goals are to be accomplished, we will need, every human to make anything happen. Do you understand me?" She said patting Echo's head tenderly as if she were just a child, not ready to see the world as it truly was. She had a hunch of what Echo was talking about, the outcasts forming a group to shun the insiders. That wouldn't work, and even if they did try to combine the human race through brute force, it still wouldn't work.

Echo suddenly felt stupid, and she was usually the one that can make people eat their words. Lenina sure had a mind, behind the craziness of course. At first, she was under the impression that Lenina was sort of … simple minded, but she surely under estimated that. How long would this all take? "Well your going to need a group of outcast's to get everyone." she pointed out. Ashton wondered, would all of the humans we willing to give up everything? For evil? For what really? She glared hard as she pat her head, rolling her eyes, she continued. " I didn't realize how long you've work on this?" she mentioned, "And yes, I understand. Completely." she almost snarled, she hated being 'told off' or whatever you shall call it.

Lenina noted Echo's bubbling anger, but didn't say or acknowledge it. "How long I've worked on this... Solitude can be a glorious thing, it gives you time to think about all the possibilites, how to pull strings, how to recognize people as they truly are, and not who they pretend to be. Their strengths. Their weaknesses." she said, most likely talking to herself or to no one at all. The look on her face made it seem as if she had never even opened her mouth. The placid expression broken by wide, amber, and cat-like eyes. "Do you know anymore... How did you put it outcasts?" Of course, Lenina already had a few ideas of her own, but if Echo knew some of these people, then it would make her job all the more easier. A list of powers and the skill level of their wielder. So many of the humans boasted about their powers, it was easy to see who was the strongest, and who could be manipulated the most.

Echo nodded, lonely-ness did take a turn on people. She guessed that Lenina's little speech was about herself. The moment was a tad bit over-used in the movies, but whatever. "I only know of one. Loki. He's odd alright." she sighed, now who were they going to get him in on this "plan" of Lenina's. "And his power is .." She thought about it for a second, tapping her foot she tried to remember. "Its … Shadow control. One that would work well in this idea of yours, along with my poison and your touch… " she trailed off, not really knowing where she was going with this. She shrugged, and twisted her fingers around necklace, waiting for some sort of reply.

Shadow Control? Probably, dark, moody and depressing. These powers are made for us. It didn't seem like they had gotten these powers at random, instead they seemed to fit some base characteristics of the wielder. Interesting. Maybe she'd end up as some kind of professor of human mutation. Lenina didn't exactly know what Echo meant by their powers being compatible. They didn't seem to fit each other at all. Besides the fact that they affected the human mind negatively. Maybe she and Echo would be some kind of tormentors, if in the new world order humans dared to defy them. And Loki would be someone that would strike fear in the hearts of those that some how survived the torment. Punishment, and reward. She remembered something about that in her history lessons. It seemed like an effective way to govern. "Fantastic, go check him out, and if you think he's well enough along, ask him to join us, and don't accept no."

Echo nodded, not really paying attention, Lenina was off in her own thoughts anyway. "Will do." she nodded, not really liking being told what to do, but she shrugged it off like it was nothing. She loved the part about not accepting no. It was always fun to get under peoples nerves, wasn't it now? Echo went off into her own world now. What would happen? Would they be a success? Of course they would. They had to be …. Shaking her thoughts loose she decided to take off. "I'm going to go back home now. It was awesome to talk to you. And I'll uh, report back to you tomorrow evening. " she playfully gave a solders solute to Lenina, and left.
